Countdown to Parade Day:

Dennis McNett Art Car Workshop

For the second year, we are thrilled to have famed printmaker and owner of Brooklyn-based Wolfbat Studios, Dennis McNett, in Houston the week prior to the Houston Art Car Parade building a vehicle to roll in the event.

Join us on Tuesday May 7th at the Glassell School for a workshop that will show students ways to use traditional relief and silkscreen prints in non-traditional ways. A slide presentation will show how prints are used on 3D forms, installation, performance and collage by taking advantage of the ability to create multiples and use its unique mark.

Following the slide presentation a workshop will be given on mask making and/or viking shields using prints provided by Wolfbat Studios. Each student will be able to create there an object they can leave with.
